Accessibility at Glamoura
Beauty technology should be for everyone. We're committed to making Glamoura usable and enjoyable for people of all abilities.
Our Commitment
At Glamoura, we believe that everyone deserves access to innovative beauty technology. Accessibility isn't an afterthought — it's woven into every stage of our design and development process.
We continuously work to ensure our platform meets the needs of users with visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive disabilities. Our goal is to provide an equally rich experience for every person who uses Glamoura.
Standards We Follow
We align with WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines across four core principles
Perceivable — content is presented in ways all users can perceive
Operable — interface components are navigable and usable by everyone
Understandable — information and UI operation are clear and predictable
Robust — content works reliably across assistive technologies
Accessibility Features
Keyboard Navigation
Every interactive element is fully operable via keyboard. Tab through controls, activate buttons with Enter or Space, and navigate menus with arrow keys.
Screen Reader Support
Semantic HTML, ARIA labels, and meaningful alt text ensure our interface works well with assistive technologies like VoiceOver, NVDA, and JAWS.
Color Contrast
Text and interactive elements meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios. We never rely on color alone to convey meaning — icons and labels provide additional context.
Responsive Design
Glamoura works beautifully on any device or screen size. Content reflows gracefully and supports pinch-to-zoom up to 200% without loss of functionality.
Alt Text & Descriptions
All images, icons, and visual content include descriptive alt text. Try-on results include text descriptions of the applied look for non-visual users.
Reduced Motion
Animations respect the prefers-reduced-motion system setting. Users who are sensitive to motion can enjoy a fully functional experience without transitions.
Continuous Improvement
Accessibility is a journey, not a destination. We regularly audit our platform with automated tools and manual testing, including testing with real assistive technologies. We also welcome feedback from our users to identify areas where we can do better.
As we add new features to Glamoura, each one goes through accessibility review before release. Our engineering and design teams receive ongoing training in inclusive design practices to ensure accessibility stays at the forefront of everything we build.
